In Chapter 4, “Home Run Out The Park” the Narrator dashes to Arte Café to console one of the supporting characters, Ruby – the racially ambiguous socialite. Arte Café is quintessential New York whereas if you know about it then, you know it is a fave of the residents of the Upper West Side. They have an amazing brunch, an excellent menu and great cocktails (the most important part).

My dear friend, Copper recently took me there to celebrate. We had a deliciously great time complete with perfectly made cocktails. And, it is a great place to be left alone while you dish about your personal life to a dear friend.

Excerpt from Chapter 4 – “Home Run Out The Park”

“The signal went up like Batman’s. “Let’s lunch…Arte Café at one…my treat,” was the text I received from Ruby. We were due to meet to discuss our plans for the Literacy Gala, which we were co-chairing, but this was about more than reading books. We only hit Arte Café when there were sorrows to be drained. I’d hatched my own relationship breakup there, and I was all set to hatch Ruby’s.”
