Legendary actress of film, television and stage, Jenifer Lewis joins us for Chapter 2 of Success Blvd. The podcast will debut on Friday, May 1st and its in conjunction with Mental Health Awareness Month.

Ms. Lewis’ quote during the Urbanworld Film Festival is the inspiration for the title of our podcast. “The elevator to success is broken; take the stairs,” she said to a packed audience at the premiere of her film Baggage Claim. Always entertaining, Jenifer also provides inspiration throughout the interview along with endless laughs.

One of Ms. Lewis’ quotes sums up what you can expect in her message to our listeners:

It didn’t matter how dark my nights were. It didn’t matter how rageful or how manic my days were. I had a dream. And nothing or no one was going to stop me.

Jenifer Lewis is one of Hollywood’s most familiar faces, with more than 300 appearances in film and television.  Known as the “Black Mother of Hollywood,” Jenifer currently guest stars on the hit show Black-ish (ABC), in the recurring role of “Ruby.”
